Croker Hill to Bosley Reservoir

A stunning walk with great views over the Cheshire Plain and The Cloud from Croker Hill. Can be very muddy in the winter though!

The route starts at the Ryles Arms in Sutton and the pub were more than happy to let us park up for the day and enjoy some well-earned beers after.

The walk climbs straight away up the valley to the top of Croker Hill and the radio tower. From here we drop down just as quickly to the reservoir at Bosley. Unfortunately, when we went the reservoir has been drained to 10% capacity for maintenance, despite that we found some lovely benches for a coffee or lunch stop.

The route now returns over the top to Greasley Hollow and up the valley back to the Ryles Arms for a well-earned drink!
