Welcome! I’m Richard, and by day I manage a computer data center. But in my free time, I explore the UK’s stunning countryside. It’s never too late to discover the great outdoors!
Like many, I rediscovered the joy of walking during lockdown, partly as a way to shed some extra weight. I’ve lost three stone so far, and I’m still going!
This site is a growing collection of walks I’ve completed (and some I dream of doing!), along with reviews of walking and hiking gear, plus information and stories about my wild camping adventures.
Each walk is mapped using Ordnance Survey, and you can download a GPX file to upload to your navigation device. I also try to include a 3D flyover of the route, giving you a preview of the terrain. Weather permitting, I’ll also share photos from the trail.
I’m even considering creating YouTube content in the future! You can find my latest walks below, and the menu above offers even more, including additional walks, gear reviews and lists, and a growing wild camping section.
